MADD raising awareness of dangerous driving

Mothers Against Drunk Driving are once again reminding drivers to make a conscious effort to not get behind the wheel if they are impaired this May long weekend. The Crashed Car campaign is a simulated car crash that shows drivers the dangers of driving under the influence. The President of the Lethbridge and Area Chapter, Anita Huchala, says the main goal of the campaign is to get conversations started.

The crashed car can be spotted by Vantage Trailers, which is just outside of Lethbridge. The vehicle will be moved every couple of weeks. Huchala says that MADD Lethbridge will be adding some spotlights to the car this year to make sure it is visible in the evening.

The Crashed Car initiative runs from May 20th to September 7th.
