LPS urges safe driving around Whoop Up Drive construction zone

Lethbridge Police are urging residents to obey the rules of the road in construction zones after issuing multiple tickets and warnings to drivers on and near Whoop-Up Drive due to speeding and illegal U-turns.

Construction and rehabilitation work on Whoop-Up has closed multiple lanes and exits for commuters traveling on Whoop-Up bridge which will be in place until September.

However, LPS say the amount of traffic offenses they have issued since last week has been surprising.
