Local designers unhappy Lethbridge branding design contract awarded to Edmonton agency

Lethbridge’s new logo design is receiving some mixed reviews. But local design businesses are unhappy that the contract was awarded to The Met Agency in Edmonton, and not a local designer.  Owner of Inspire Marketing and Media, Jenelle Wensley is disappointed that her’s and other businesses in the city were not given an opportunity to bid on the project. In a Facebook post, the City said that a procurement process was followed, and that no local businesses responded. According to their website, the City is required to advertise bid opportunities on purchases of $75,000 or greater.  The cost of the branding project was reportedly $35,000.
