Lethbridge Polytechnic has signed a 20-year land agreement with the Government of Alberta. The renewed deal allows the institution to continue using its 395-acre research farm east of Lethbridge. The land will support applied agricultural research operations in response to industry needs. The agreement was signed in July by Alberta’s Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, R.J. Sigurdson.
In December, a report released by Research Infosource Inc., a Canadian source of research intelligence, ranked the polytechnic ninth among the top 50 research colleges in the country.
