Lethbridge Polytechnic currently 1st in Ice Fishing competition

An ice fishing team based out of Lethbridge Polytechnic is currently sitting at the number one spot in a collegiate competition between post-secondary schools across Canada and the United States.

Hardwater Havoc is a six-week event where students compete in weekly challenges where they log their catches and results on their phones based on species, length, location, and effort to earn points.

The Lethbridge Polytechnic team is a collaborative effort between the Ducks Unlimited Club, the Wildlife Conservation Enforcement Club, and the Lethbridge Polytechnic Chapter of The Wildlife Society.

As of the latest update, the Polytechnic sits at first place above institutions based in Nebraska and Regina. The Polytechnic has a team of 20 students who have made 163 catches so far, with the competition running until February 19th.
