Lethbridge Police reminding residents about trick-or-treating safety

With Halloween coming up in exactly a week, Lethbridge Police are reminding parents and trick-or-treaters to be safe if you are going to be heading out and collecting candy. When picking out a Halloween costume, police say it’s best to wear something that is bright and reflective so drivers can see you out on the roads at night.

“There’s so many people out and about that it’s very important because drivers can get distracted and maybe not see you crossing the street. But if you have a bright costume on or a flashlight or something like that where drivers can see you better, then that’s what you should be doing.”

Christos also recommends wearing non-toxic makeup and go for a decorative hat instead of a full-face mask.
