The Lethbridge Police Service is partnering with several community agencies to make Christmas more merry for those less fortunate. The fourth annual Charity Checkstop will be help on Saturday December 2nd from 11 until 3pm. Officers will be onsite at the Park Place Mall’s west parking lot to collect new toys, gifts, donations of money and non-perishable food items for the Christmas Hope campaign. One of the Christmas Hope agencies is Lethbridge Family Services. Michelle Gallucci, Director of Advancement and Communications for LFS says in recent years, the Charity Checkstop has provide a large boost to her organization’s Angel Tree campaign.
In addition to Lethbridge Family Services’ Angel Tree campaign, Christmas Hope coordinates donations for the Interfaith Food Bank, the Lethbridge Food Bank, MyCityCare’s Shop of Wonders, The Salvation Army’s Toys for Tots, and Volunteer Lethbridge.
