Lethbridge residents are once again being encouraged to take a dip in some icy cold water for a good cause. The Law Enforcement Torch Run is raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics Alberta, and the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS), is asking folks to take part in their Polar Plunge. On February 7th, the community is invited to join the event at Festival Square at 600 3rd Avenue South. LPS Constable Gavin Enns says participants will bravely jump into freezing cold water during Alberta’s bitter winter.

The plunge will start at 11 a.m. Participants must be 16 years old and over. The cost to register is $50 and donations can be made using the same link to register or at the event.
