Lethbridge Police are updating another sexual assault case we first heard about back in June. LPS has added additional charges to a 37-year-old man after three more victims came forward to police.
The investigation began from an incident in April 2019 where the suspect assaulted a 35-year-old woman at a residence. Police began the investigation this past May after being alerted to a social media post alleging that multiple women had been sexually assaulted by the same man. LPS released a call for more potential victims to identify themselves, and three more have come forward with connections from incidents between 2009 and 2022.
Landon Byron Kern Waters of Lethbridge is charged with three counts of sexual assault, two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of administering a drug to overcome resistance. These new charges are in addition to the initial count of sexual assault laid in June.
Waters has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court August 26. The investigation is ongoing and anyone else with information, or who has been victimized, is asked to call police at 403-328-4444.
