The Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) is warning Albertans about the province’s health care system.
AUPE says hospitals are operating at 102 per cent capacity; the infrastructure is crumbling, and the working conditions are unsafe. AUPE President Sandra Azocar says government inaction puts Albertans at risk, with front-line health care workers, including doctors, raising the alarm.
Azocar says, AUPE is also calling on the Alberta government to: Invest in public health care infrastructure and increase staffing levels among others.
