Interfaith Food Bank Helps Hobbies program
To build community and to share knowledge. That is what the Interfaith Food Bank’s Help Hobbies Program is all about. The strategy brings together community members to share their talents Tuesdays from 10am until noon. Kitchen Facilitator, Jessica Gelata, says members socialize while sharing their hobbies to help benefit the community. She also says the money collected through the sale of home–made products is used for fundraising efforts. Gelata explains which projects are being developed. Gelata says the Help Hobbies program began in 2019 but came to a halt during the pandemic but started up again last year. Organizers say their products are available at the Interfaith Food Bank.
