Are neighborhood connections really important? Well, that was the topic discussed today during the session of Southern Alberta Council of Public Affairs (SACPA). Jerry Firth, Chair of the League of YQL Neighborhoods, highlights how knowing who lives in our neighborhood, greeting them, and interacting with them helps not only our safety but also our well-being.
According to Stats Canada, recent research shows that 45.7 per cent of the population reported a strong sense of belonging to their local community.
