High River set to host Battle of the Foothills chuckwagon racing
For the first time since the pandemic started, chuckwagon racing is back. Starting on July 17th, the High River Agricultural Society Grounds will be hosting a two weekend event. The World Professional Chuckwagon Association will be putting on the Battle of the Foothills show, which will consist of 38 wagons from across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
President of the Ag Society, Tanya Froh, says she is most excited about the atmosphere that everyone has missed over the past year.
Up for grabs is $150,000 worth of prize money. The Battle of the Foothills is scheduled for July 16, 17, 18 and July 23, 24, 25. Capacity for the event is roughly 3,000. You can purchase tickets by visiting HighRiverAg.com.
