GoFundMe organizer gives update on local family

Nearly one hundred thousand dollars has been raised so far to support the Bucud family, after their three small children were struck by a vehicle on the way to school last week. Kyera Kowal, the organizer of the fundraiser on behalf of Marc Bucud, has given updates about the health of the children, who according to Kowal, had already crossed the road when someone struck them. BCN reached out to Kowal who also said the surgeries were successful for both Marcus, aged 14 and Juliana, aged eight. Juliana’s surgery ran into a few complications, but she and Marcus are slowly healing. Kowal shared on social media that there is a Facebook account that is pretending to be her. She also clarified that Kowal has not sent messages to anyone asking for money or personal information and encouraged those who want to donate to use the GoFundMe account.
