Galt Museum & Archives introduces Oldman River Exhibit

For the next few months, visitors to the Galt Museum and Archives will get an enhanced look at the history behind the Oldman River.

The new exhibit highlights historic points in history related to the river including riverboats that used to travel across southern Alberta and the development of the Oldman River Dam. The curator of the exhibit says understanding the river will bring understanding to how Lethbridge has developed to this day.

The River Exhibition, called ‘Down in the Valley’, is available for viewing until August 9th. Galt Museum and Archives will also host public programs including river valley tours that can be viewed on their website.
