Fort Macleod man charged with sexual assault, may be additional victims

Lethbridge Police have charged a 35-year-old man in connection with two separate sexual assaults.

On April 10th, police responded to a report of a 38-year-old woman being sexually assaulted by an unknown man in a northside grocery store parking lot. The man approached her, told her she had a spider on her back, and then touched her back and buttocks inappropriately. He fled the scene in a black 2025 Volkswagen Jetta.

About a month later, on May 5th, police received a report of a similar sexual assault of a 47-year-old woman in a westside grocery store parking lot. Police eventually located the suspect.

35-year-old Mackenzie Jackson Murray of Fort Macleod, is charged with two counts of sexual assault. He is currently in custody awaiting a court date. Police believe there may be additional victims, so they have released this photograph.
