Dr. Asuchak: “20/20 vision doesn’t always mean healthy eyes”

May is Eye Health Month. It’s a great reminder to get your eyes checked and get routine eye exams. Dr. Jim Asuchak, optometrist in Lethbridge, says a lot of eye concern can occur without any symptoms, to detect them as early as possible and get the treatment they need, early detection is important. He also says 20/20 vision doesn’t always mean healthy eyes.

The recommendation for eye exams is for children ages two to five annually until age 18, for adults every two years, and for adults 65 and older, once a year.
