Don Bladen ready for new spiritual and personal journey

A well known pastor and his wife who lost their home in a devastating fire a couple of years ago, are embarking on a new adventure in Winnipeg. The couple has left their mark on community after joining the Lethbridge Salvation Army five years ago. They have both been in ministry for over 20 years now. Video Journalist Micah Quinn caught up with Don in Winnipeg to chat about his time in Lethbridge and what’s next for him and his wife.

The couple recently accepted jobs with the Winnipeg Salvation Army, and a special party was held this past weekend to send them off.

Bladen says he will be in charge of overlooking 15 communities in his new role as Area Commander in Winnipeg.

He told us he’ll miss the people in Lethbridge and the incredible memories that were made.

Unfortunately, not everything was smooth sailing for the couple.

Back in 2021, their home was destroyed by fire, leaving nothing but a massive pile of rubble.

Bladen says he credits his faith in God as a huge help following the tragedy.
