CPKC Holiday Train stops in Lethbridge, donates $8,000 to food bank

On Saturday night, thousands took outdoors by Centre Village Mall to witness the CPKC Holiday Train making its anticipated stop here in Lethbridge.

The train had previous stops that same day in Okotoks, Blackie and Vulcan as the temperature warmed up by 20 degrees Celsius throughout the day.

As the Holiday Train raises money for food banks across their network, CPKC presented an $8,000 cheque to the Lethbridge Food Bank just in time for Christmas. Since its inaugural journey in 1999, the Holiday Train has raised more than 26 million dollars and collected approximately 5.4 million pounds of food for community food banks in Canada and the U.S.
