If you’ve been driving along 43rd Street south in our city, chances are you’ve noticed construction work on a new pedestrian pathway. This trail, which the city calls Pathway 17, runs along 43 Street South and South Parkside Drive South and is meant to improve city connections and boost safety for pedestrians and bikers.
Final work is currently taking place at the intersection of 43rd and 20th Avenue south to complete concrete repair work, which has closed the intersection, and motorists will have to take detours in the meantime. Work will wrap up on Friday, June 5, weather permitting.

Other than this current project and future landscaping, the trail is now completed and open to commuters.
