Concerns about low water levels for Lethbridge
A dry summer followed by late snowfall has created drought-like conditions and low reservoir levels here in southern Alberta. Joel Sanchez, Lethbridge’s Director of Infrastructure Services says, the City has been working alongside with the Province for the last three months addressing these issues. He says that several working groups have been assigned to monitor the water levels and make recommendations to Council.
One city councilor, however, says she’s hearing other concerns from residents regarding our water supply. Belinda Crowson says the public needs to be more informed on the matter.
Officials say more information will be made available at the January 23rd City Council meeting.
