Community survey: Lethbridge residents show growing confidence in LPS

Lethbridge residents say they trust their police service and feel safer in their community than they did two years ago. A new 2026 survey shows overall satisfaction, with the Lethbridge Police Service, has reached its highest level in recent years, while perceptions of safety across the city have improved significantly.

Some of the Highlights from the 2026 Community Survey include: 88% say LPS is meeting expectations for keeping Lethbridge safe, 83% describe Lethbridge as a safe community, up 13 percentage points from 2024, and 22% say Lethbridge has become safer over the past year, while those who believe it has become less safe fell from 31% to 16% .
