Coalhurst approves 2026 mill-rate with residential tax reduction
The Town of Coalhurst has approved its 2026 mill rate, and it looks like residential taxpayers will pay a little bit less in property taxes. Residential taxes will drop three-tenths of a percent from 7.2 to 6.9 percent, while non-residential property taxes will go up four-tenths of a percent from 9.9 to 10.3 percent. Sarah Bittner Director of Corporate Services with the town, explains how the mill rate is calculated.
Tax Notices are typically mailed in June, with payment due by July 31. The full budget and Mill Rate Bylaw are available on the Town’s website.
