Coaldale saw a major increase in building and development activity in 2025. The expansion was driven by strong gains in both non-residential investment and residential development in the town. Cameron Mills, Director of Growth and Investment, says over the past three years, Coaldale’s residential building permit value increased sharply — rising from $12.6 million in 2023 to $22.1 million in 2024, before more than doubling to $50.5 million in 2025.
