Coaldale’s town council has adopted their Strategic Plan for 2026 through 2029. The new plan aims to prioritize transportation, asset management, policing and community safety as the town experiences a surge in growth.
A list of priorities highlighted in the plan are:
- completing key intersection upgrades along Coaldale’s highway corridors;
- implementing a 10-year Capital Plan;
- expanding community policing visibility and outreach;
- completing and implementing the Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan;
- continuing to advocate for a sustainable cost model for policing in Coaldale; and
- securing water rights for future growth.
Mayor Jack Van Rijn says the new plan is a result of a council that is transparent and approachable. Residents can check out the plan in full here.
