City of Lethbridge tries to relieve traffic headache on Whoop Up Drive

Some good news for drivers in Lethbridge. Beginning today, from 2 to 8 pm one eastbound lane will open to westbound traffic, across the Whoop-Up Bridge. This will allow a higher volume of westbound traffic to cross the bridge during the busy afternoon and evening commute. The City of Lethbridge’s Acting Director of Infrastructure, Jason Drenth, says during these hours, eastbound traffic across the bridge is reduced to one lane.

Heavy trucks – excluding regular pickups – are still not allowed to travel westbound on Whoop-Up Drive for the time being.
