The city has made changes to its Phase 2 Snow and Ice Control which will now cover a larger area than in the past. During an SPC meeting this afternoon our city’s Transportation Operations Manager says some of the changes include more residential plowing throughout areas of the city.
“Last year we implemented plowing to the right along approximately 23 km during phase one and this year we are expanding on that project and we’ll plow theme areas and then an additional 60 kilometers as well. In areas where we install snow route signs and declare snow routes so that residents move their cars away and our operation can be conducted more efficient.”
