The man charged with attempted murder after he drove through multiple pedestrians back on October 10th had his court appearance adjourned today.
Forty-seven-year-old Christopher Hegg of Calgary faces multiple counts of attempted murder after he allegedly struck multiple pedestrians in the parking lot of the Visit-Lethbridge-dot-com Arena. Three adults sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospital in stable condition. The suspect then struck a Subaru Outback near the arena in a hit and run, then proceeded to threaten an employee at a convenience store before he eventually left with merchandise without paying.
Hegg’s case at the Lethbridge Courthouse was adjourned Tuesday morning to January 6th. A psychological assessment was previously requested by his lawyer but has not yet been completed.
Hegg remains in custody and is facing a total of 14 charges.
