The Lethbridge Cardiac Centre of Excellence continues receiving community support. In a statement, Alberta Health Services says three Lethbridge businesses have donated a total of $350,000. The center will feature catheterization, electrophysiology, and echocardiography labs, as well as cardiac MRI and CT scanners, among other services. With these funds, support for the project is one-third complete, with 22 months left on the timeline. AHS also says donors are Gas King, KCL Cattle Co., and Lethbridge Toyota, whose CEO Tim Schipper, has a personal connection to the project.
The goal is for this new Cardiac Centre to be operational by 2027/2028.
