US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick thanked Canada for rescinding the Digital Services tax on Monday in order to resume trade negotiations with the United States. This come after President Donald Trump said he was terminating all trade talks with Canada last week and threatened more tariffs over the tax. Prime Minster Carney in a statement said that talks will resume in continuation of the timeline set at the G7 meeting in Kananaskis, towards a July 21st goal.
