Boating advisory lifted on Oldman, St. Mary Rivers

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services has lifted the boating advisory for the Oldman River and St. Mary River, effective immediately.

The advisory was issued on July 2nd due to elevated river flows and hazardous conditions. Since then, water levels and flow rates have decreased, allowing normal recreational activities on and around the river to resume. While conditions have improved, river users should continue to exercise caution.

The City recommends that anyone planning to float, paddle or boat on the river should:
