Taking flight for last weekend of season

The Alberta Birds of Prey Centre is closing for the season on September 6th. A few of the newest additions to the centre are little snowy owls. Snowy owls breed on the arctic tundra and make stops in the prairies during the winter months. Staff at the centre say these snowy owls were hatched in captivity.

Staff say the Birds of Prey Centre will continue to release injured and orphaned owls during the off season.
