Bell Let’s Talk Day kicks off week of mental health initiatives
Today is Bell Let’s Talk Day, a national mental health awareness campaign, encouraging people to seek support. Since 2010, the initiative has officially been recognized on the fourth Wednesday of January. It’s aim is to destigmatize conversations about mental health.
Lethbridge Polytechnic marks the day with week-long mental health initiatives. Health Promotion Coordinator Lori Harasem, explains the free resources available to students.
The initiative encourages people to talk about mental health and mental illness, learn the difference between them, and reminds people that it is okay to get help and take advantage of the resources available within the community.
