A rally of around 50 people in support of the LGBTQ2 plus community took place on Friday morning in front of Lethbridge City Hall. Those who participated say they were there to support the trans community. Some believe that trans rights in Alberta are still not being respected or supported. One attendee says what we saw today was actually more of a counter-protest to those who participated in the One-Million March for Children. According to Stats Canada, 1.3 million Canadians or 4.4 per cent of the population identifies as LGBTQ 2 plus.
