A Gift from the heart:$250K to Bringing Hearts-Home
A generous new donation of $250,000 has been made to the Bringing Hearts Home Campaign. The donors, Bart and Cynthia Davies, say cardiac disease touches nearly every family in some way. Like many others, they also have a personal story: a member of their family—his grandfather—passed away after suffering from heart disease. For the Davies family, he could have lived much longer if he had had access to the medical and technological advances available today. Meanwhile, Crystal Elliott, CEO of the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, says the donation comes at a crucial time for the campaign.
Once fully operational, the cardiac catheterization lab is expected to serve approximately 1,500 to 1,700 patients each year, representing a major step forward in addressing the region’s higher-than-average cardiovascular mortality rates.
