Police raise fraud awareness at Nordbridge Senior Centre

During Fraud Prevention Month, the Economic Crime Unit with the Lethbridge Police Service is hosting community events. At the Nordbridge Senior Centre, officers shared information and answered questions about common scams used to target victims. Cst. Bret Napper says raising awareness is key and gives some tips to help prevent fraud.

Anyone who becomes a victim of fraud should report it to their local police through the non-emergency line, while attempted scams can be reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
