L&D Exhibition splits into Ag Society & Events organizer

The Lethbridge and District Exhibition announced Thursday that it’s rebranding into two separate entities.

The Lethbridge and District Agriculture Society will focus on the communities’ agricultural roots dating back to 1897, while Excite Lethbridge will partner with the Ag Society to develop and host events plus trade and convention opportunities.

Additionally, the Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre is now renamed the Lethbridge Trade and Convention Centre.

The City says the idea behind the reorganization is to ensure greater efficiency and further promote Lethbridge as an agriculture hub.

The previously known Exhibition was recommended to split by consultants to the City amid ongoing financial challenges that have placed the Exhibition under City ownership.
