Research confirms that social media is addictive

Para muchos, la era digital ha traído grandes retos. Uno de ellos es saber equilibrar el tiempo que pasamos frente a las pantallas, y no necesariamente cuando estamos trabajando frente al ordenador. Para algunos expertos, son muchos los motivos que provocan preocupación por permanecer expuestos a las pantallas más tiempo del recomendado y eso incluye el volverse adicto . Así lo explica el instructor e investigador de Lethbridge Polytechnic, el Dr. Simon Schaerz  . Según Stats Canada, el 94,5 % de los canadienses que utilizaron internet en 2022, pasaron entre 10 y 20 horas semanales en sus dispositivos digitales. Eso excluye el tiempo que pasan viendo contenido de vídeo en streaming o jugando a videojuegos .

Heidi was born in Bogota, Colombia and lived there until she was 18, then she moved to Caracas, Venezuela where she finished her bachelor's degree in journalism.
