Sport Drop-In program now available for children

A new initiative for kids is taking place Monday through Thursday from 9 until noon at Nicolas Sheran Arena. It is called the Lethbridge Summer Sport Drop-In Program. Alex Engel is with the Lethbridge Sport Council and says the Drop-In will continue until the end of July. He also says equipment will be provided for some fun activities and explains what their goal is. So far this summer the event has had between 80 and 90 kids participate. Engel says the program received 72-hundred dollars in funding support from Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart initiative and ParticipACTION.
