$1M Serfas Farms donation boosts cardiac care in Southern Alberta

A huge $1-million donation from local farming and feedlot operation Serfas Farms is helping strengthen cardiac care across Southern Alberta. The gift to the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation’s Bringing Hearts Home Campaign comes as the campaign has already surpassed its $30-million fundraising goal ahead of its January 2027 target date, through the generosity of more than 1,200 donors.

Rooted in the region since the 1950s, Serfas Farms has grown from a family farm into a leading diversified agricultural operation. The donation will help advance the development of a Cardiac Centre of Excellence at Chinook Regional Hospital, expanding access to specialized care closer to home.
